‘Little Dunley Cottages’ is the perfect holiday destination for couples, friends and families alike. Our properties are a mixture of self-catering cottages and lodges, set in a stunning location. Several of our properties are equipped with private hot tubs, many of which are under cover, meaning you can enjoy them all year round, and 10 of our properties have enclosed gardens – ideal for those with small children. Included, are all of the home comforts and amenities you will need for a relaxing break away. For the adventurous, we also have a ‘Tiny House’ – encompassing everything you need in a compact house, cleverly engineered, incl. a king-sized bed, an enclosed garden and firepit area.
Ideally Situated
Situated on the edge of Dartmoor, we are ideally placed for you to enjoy some walking, peace and relaxation – away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, but are also close enough that you can access a choice of beaches from Dawlish and Teignmouth to the English Riviera, popular holiday destinations, theme parks, a zoo, shops and restaurants etc. The nearest beach is just a 20 min drive away, and the nearest pub is 1 mile away – easily walkable for those who would like to partake in a drink or two! For those who would rather stay on site, we have a selection of facilities for you to enjoy.

Luxurious Devon Holiday Cottages
All of our properties have been finished to a high specification, are tastefully furnished, and feature well-appointed kitchens and bathrooms, fully equipped for your convenience. Bedlinen and towels are included. Wi-Fi and onsite parking is also available (see individual pages for details on what is included with each property.) There are clothes washing and drying facilities onsite, should your property not include a washing machine. 5 of our properties are dog friendly. Please note, we operate a strict ‘non-smoking’ policy within all buildings.
Whether you are searching for a family holiday, a group holiday, a romantic break for two, an adventure holiday, a carp fishing holiday, a hot tub holiday, or simply want a holiday with an indoor swimming pool, Little Dunley is a superb choice. Customer service is of the utmost importance to the team, who are on hand, should you require assistance.
Onsite Facilities
Our self-catering holiday cottages in Devon have a range of wonderful facilities included, available for guests to use depending upon which cottage they’ve booked (see facilities table.) We have two large carp fishing ponds on-site so keen anglers can fish in peace and tranquillity, in addition to an all-weather outdoor tennis court, an indoor heated pool, a sauna, and a games room. Our holiday cottages and lodges are surrounded by 24-acres of meadowland, perfect for exploring!
We also offer some special additional services, such as massages and holistic treatments from massage therapists, as well as manicures and facials from a beautician. So, whether you exclusively stay on-site for the duration of your break or use your holiday cottage as a base for exploring the surrounding areas, there’s no shortage of activities at your fingertips!
Idyllic Location
Our holiday cottages are nestled in the picturesque South Devon countryside, with the coast being less than half an hour’s drive away. We’re within easy reach of attractions such as Paignton Zoo, Crealy Adventure Park, Pennywell Farm, Powderham Castle and the quaint Devon towns of Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Totnes, Paignton and Torquay, being only a short drive. If you’re looking for a more bustling pace, Exeter is just 14 miles away, and you can be in the ‘Ocean City’ of Plymouth in under 45 minutes. Little Dunley Cottages is the perfect base for anyone who wants to explore what Devon has to offer!
If you prefer the quieter life, Dartmoor National Park provides you with plenty of choices to explore – there are plenty of historic landmarks to discover, plus walking, hiking and cycling opportunities, county pubs with coal fires and home-cooked food – all set within nature and greenery. For the sporty – why not try your hand at coasteering, a RIB Seafari or sea kayaking in Torbay?… there are exciting activities in Devon for all ages and tastes.
Eco Friendly Holiday Cottages
Our lodges and holiday cottages benefit from our eco-friendly ethos. At Little Dunley, we have worked hard towards sustainability, and pride ourselves in providing as many ‘green’ resources as possible. All of our properties use solar power, and we have installed a Biomass Energy System. This provides a renewable and efficient source of energy. We also have a ‘Renewable Energy-Powered’ EV Charger for guests with electric vehicles.
Water for our holiday cottages is provided via boreholes, extracted through wells. Our waste water treatment system collects, treats and re-distributes waste water, making it safe. All cleaning products we use are eco-friendly. Hot tubs are filled directly with hot water from the biomass system, enabling them to be user-ready, whilst running on green energy. We encourage recycling, and provide bins for guests to dispose of their recyclable waste.
