The Tiny House is just one of our quaint and comfy award winning holiday cottages in Devon. Ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway to relax and unwind, this compact house has been innovatively designed to make the most of its space, with doors that open onto picturesque views of the countryside, along with a firepit to keep you warm on a cool evening.
What’s more, it’s dog-friendly, meaning you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind! This self-catering holiday accommodation features an open plan kitchen, living and dining area and an en-suite shower room. The sleeping area is situated seven steps above the living area with a double mattress on the floor. Please note – mind your head(!) – the ceiling is low with limited headroom.

Situated on the edge of Dartmoor and set within 24 acres of countryside, our picturesque hamlet of award winning holiday cottages offers the perfect base for you to explore all that Devon and Dartmoor National Park has to offer, right on our doorstep.
Whether you want to relax in a beautiful, tranquil setting or need a base to explore, we are ideally suited for couples, families, and group holidays alike! We’re just 20 minutes from the nearest beach and a mile from the nearest pub. Plus, we’re only 20 minutes from Exeter and 10 minutes from the beautiful Haldon Forest, so there’s always something exciting to do!
If you would prefer to stay on-site for the duration of your stay, then we have a whole host of excellent facilities for our guests to enjoy (booking dependent). These include an all-weather hard tennis court, fishing lakes, a heated indoor pool, a sauna and a games room.
Green Award for Sustainability
But that’s not all! Not only have we received the above awards and accreditations in 2025, but we also received the English Country Cottages Green Award for Sustainability in 2019. At Little Dunley Cottages, we pride ourselves on our eco-friendly ethos.
All of our award winning holiday cottages use solar power, and we have implemented a Biomass Energy System, providing a renewable and efficient energy source. Our hot tubs are filled with hot water from the biomass system, making them ready for you to use within one hour, while running on green energy. Plus, our accommodation receives water from boreholes, sourced through wells. We use a wastewater treatment system that collects, treats and safely redistributes wastewater.
Guests with electric vehicles can take advantage of our ‘Renewable Energy-Powered’ EV Charger. We are also committed to only using eco-friendly cleaning products and encourage recycling, providing bins for you to dispose of your recyclable waste.
