We are also close to popular attractions like Powderham Castle, Pennywell Farm, Crealy Adventure Park, and Paignton Zoo, as well as the charming towns of Dawlish, Teignmouth, and Totnes. For a livelier scene, historic Exeter is only 14 miles away, and bustling Plymouth can be reached in under 45 minutes. Overall, Little Dunley Cottages offers a perfect base to explore everything South Devon has to offer.

If you prefer a quieter setting, Dartmoor National Park provides endless opportunities for exploration. You can visit historic landmarks, walk, hike, or cycle through scenic landscapes. Alternatively, you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere of traditional country pubs with their warming coal fires and homemade foods, all surrounded by nature. At Little Dunley Cottages, our lodges and cottages truly reflect our ethos and commitment to eco-friendliness. Sustainability is our priority, and we strive to offer as many eco-conscious resources as possible. All our holiday properties run on solar power, and we have installed a Biomass Energy System to provide a renewable, efficient energy source. We also offer a ‘Renewable Energy-Powered’ EV Charger for guests with electric vehicles.

We source water for our self-catering accommodation from boreholes that extract natural underground water, and our wastewater treatment system safely collects, treats, and redistributes water, minimising environmental impact. Plus, we use only eco-friendly cleaning products. Our hot tubs are filled with hot water from the biomass system, allowing them to operate sustainably on green energy. We also promote recycling by providing bins for guests’ waste disposal.

"We have just spent 4 nights in Oaktree Cottage. A beautiful gesture of a bottle of wine on arrival was so lovely! Such a large open living/dining space, perfect sized bedrooms and exceptionally clean. Modern but with an old twist to enhance the character. Very well presented and well equipped! The swimming pool and games room is soo good! Cannot fault this at all. Have already booked to visit again in October…this time a lodge with a hot tub!"

"Little Dunley Cottages is a real gem... This was our second visit to Hazel Cottage… There is a large screen TV and dishwasher in addition to the cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Some lovely touches including a bottle of fizz… and a selection of tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets to get you started. The garden is private and the hot tub is fantastic… It’s a definite draw for us to return again. There is plenty of space with a chance to wonder around the lake or on the local paths etc. Thanks again for another lovely holiday."
