What’s more, we are not far from popular attractions such as Powderham Castle, Pennywell Farm, Crealy Adventure Park, and Paignton Zoo, as well as the charming Devon resorts of Dawlish and Teignmouth and the delightful market town of Totnes. If you seek a livelier atmosphere, historic Exeter is just 14 miles away, while bustling Plymouth is under 45 minutes away. All in all, Little Dunley Cottages is the ideal location for you to discover all that South Devon has to offer.

Our lodges and holiday cottages in Newton Abbot are the epitome of our eco-friendly ethos. At Little Dunley Cottages, we are fully committed to sustainability, and we try our best to provide as many environmentally friendly resources as possible. As such, all our properties are powered by solar energy, and we have installed a Biomass Energy System to ensure a renewable and efficient energy source.

What’s more, we source water for our holiday cottages through boreholes that extract naturally occurring water from underground wells. Our wastewater treatment system collects, treats, and redistributes wastewater, which makes it safe for the environment. Additionally, we use only eco-friendly cleaning products. Our hot tubs are filled directly with hot water from the biomass system, which enables them to be ready to use while operating on green energy. Finally, we encourage recycling by providing recycling bins for guests to dispose of their waste.

"We have just spent 4 nights in Oaktree Cottage. A beautiful gesture of a bottle of wine on arrival was so lovely! Such a large open living/dining space, perfect sized bedrooms and exceptionally clean. Modern but with an old twist to enhance the character. Very well presented and well equipped! The swimming pool and games room is soo good! Cannot fault this at all. Have already booked to visit again in October…this time a lodge with a hot tub!"

"Little Dunley Cottages is a real gem... This was our second visit to Hazel Cottage… There is a large screen TV and dishwasher in addition to the cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Some lovely touches including a bottle of fizz… and a selection of tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets to get you started. The garden is private and the hot tub is fantastic… It’s a definite draw for us to return again. There is plenty of space with a chance to wonder around the lake or on the local paths etc. Thanks again for another lovely holiday."
